Stephen Barnett is head of the Nickel Institute, an organisation that represents nickel producers on a worldwide basis, undertakes research, and promotes the benefits and environmentally-friendly uses of nickel to end users and regulators.
Stephen has extensive knowledge of the global nickel industry and has lived and worked in the industry in many countries, including Colombia, Holland, South Africa and Australia. Previous industry experience includes managing technology, health, safety, environment and quality for BHP Billiton group companies for over 25 years. As a figurehead of the nickel industry, he is frequently asked to speak and lecture on all aspects of the business at conferences and seminars worldwide.
Stephen holds an MSc in Metallurgy from Imperial College, University of London, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Engineering.
