| Carey began his career in the mining industry in 1991 with a posting to Cue as a junior mine geologist at the Comet Gold Mine. Over the next eleven years he moved around the West Australian Goldfields working for various Australian and International Resource houses including: PosGold, Sons of Gwalia, Reynolds Metals of America and Teck Cominco in various senior positions focusing on the optimisation, development and commissioning of new and existing mines. Over the last five years Carey has been working in the finance industry in various research positions specialising in small to mid cap resource companies. For the last 20 months he has become a key member of the small boutique stockbroking firm Alto Capital. |
